Winemaker Notes
The 2017 harvest commenced in early August and due to cooler weather, continued slowly. Warm days with cool nights led to riper flavors at low sugar levels and an incredible brightness and fresh acidity in the fruit.
Vineyards
Zinfandel readily takes on a distinct character unique to the region in which it is grown. We prize the many faces of Zinfandel and find that blending across appellations creates wines layered with fruit, spice, and floral components. From Sonoma County to Lake County to Solano and Lodi, each region adds a lively and complementary dimension to this fragrant and luscious wine.
