Winemaker Notes
The grapes are sourced from 100% certified sustainable vineyards managed under a philosophy of kaitiaki – the Māori concept of guardianship for sky, sea, and land.
This wine is a blend of various parcels of fruit from vineyards in Marlborough. Fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness and fermented in open vats. After an extended period of maceration the various batches were drained off the skins and portions put into new and old oak barriques. After several months the wines were assessed and blended.
Interesting Fact
Rongopai translates to “good taste” or “good feeling” in Māori – something we seek to create with every vintage.
